HEADLAMP — Description (Cont'd) — Circuit Operation [C-2] PASSING fully open + [D] retractor switch ON

Headlamp filaments are energised via the PASSING contact and the door motors stay open until the lever is released. (See figC2.)

While operating the headlamp motor to open position. The retractor switch energises the same retract-relay tree as case A-1 but the lighting-switch leg stays OFF, so headlamp filaments remain dark (commonly used for the daytime/wash retract test). (See figD.)
