Temperature of high-pressure and low-pressure lines.
Almost no refrigerantAlmost no difference between high-pressure and low-pressure side temperatures.
InsufficientHigh-pressure side is warm and low-pressure side is fairly cold.
SuitableHigh-pressure side is hot and low-pressure side is cold.
Too much refrigerantHigh-pressure side is abnormally hot.
State in sight glass.

InsufficientBoth pressures on high and low-pressure sides are slightly low.
SuitableBoth pressures on high and low-pressure sides are normal.
Too much refrigerantBoth pressures on high and low-pressure sides are abnormally high.
Repair.
