DS17HD parking drum brake is integrated into the rear disc rotor (drum-in-hat design) and is fitted only on AD9-equipped cars.

Shoe Replacement

Parking drum brake shoe replacement

    Remove disc rotor (with parking drum brake). Tighten two bolts gradually if disc rotor is hard to remove.
    Two M8×1.25 bolts threaded into the rotor's tapped removal holes to push the rotor off the hub if it is hard to remove.

    After removing retainer, remove spring by rotating shoes.
    Be careful not to damage parking brake cable when separating it.
    Removing the brake-shoe retainer and rotating the shoes outward to release the spring; arrows show the rotation direction.
