AD9 rear caliper used on cars equipped with the parking-drum-brake variant (DS17HD); uses guide-pin fastening rather than the CL9H's pin-bolt arrangement.

Pad Replacement

Rear AD9 pad replacement

    Remove guide pin.
    Rear caliper with arrow pointing to the guide pin being removed.

    Swing cylinder body upward. Then remove pad retainer and inner and outer shims.
    When cylinder body is swung up, do not depress brake pedal because piston will pop out.
    Be careful not to damage dust seal or get oil on rotor. Always replace shims when replacing pads.
    AD9 rear caliper cylinder body swung upward exposing pads, pad retainer and shims for replacement.
