INSPECTION START

A — CHECK INPUT SIGNAL.
1) Start and warm up engine sufficiently.
2) Does engine revolution rise when air conditioner switch is turned "ON"?
Yes
CHECK IDLE SPEED WHEN AIR CONDITIONER SWITCH IS "ON".
CHECK IDLE SPEED WHEN AIR CONDITIONER SWITCH IS "ON".
M/T: 950±50 rpm
A/T: 900±50 rpm
If out of specification, adjust idle speed.

B — CHECK POWER SOURCE.
1) Stop engine.
2) Disconnect F.I.C.D. solenoid valve harness connector.
3) Turn ignition switch "ON".
4) Check voltage between terminal (a) and ground when air conditioner switch is turned "ON".
Air conditioner ON: Battery voltage
Air conditioner OFF: 0V

CHECK CONTINUITY BETWEEN AIR CONDITIONER RELAY AND F.I.C.D. SOLENOID VALVE.
CHECK CONTINUITY BETWEEN AIR CONDITIONER RELAY AND F.I.C.D. SOLENOID VALVE.
Refer to HA section.
O.K. (battery voltage when ON, 0V when OFF)

C — CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT.
1) Turn ignition switch "OFF".
2) Check resistance between terminal (b) and ground.
Resistance: Approximately 0Ω

Repair harness or connectors.

CHECK COMPONENT (F.I.C.D. solenoid valve).
Refer to "Electrical Components Inspection".
