PRESSURE TESTING
Location of line pressure test port
IMPORTANT
Line pressure plugs are hexagon headed bolts.
Always replace line pressure plugs as they are self-sealing bolts.
Line pressure test procedure
- 1Check A/T and engine fluid levels. If necessary, add.
- 2Warm up engine until engine oil and A.T.F. reach operating temperature after vehicle has been driven approx. 10 minutes.A.T.F. operating temperature: 50 - 80°C (122 - 176°F)
- 3Install pressure gauge to line pressure port. — D, 2 and 1 ranges — (see fig3) — R range — (see fig4)
SAT180B - 4Set parking brake and block wheels.Continue to depress brake pedal fully while line pressure test at stall speed is performed.
