Oil Pressure Check (Cont'd)

Install pressure gauge.

Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

Check oil pressure with engine running under no-load.

IMPORTANT

If difference is extreme, check oil passage and oil pump for oil leaks.

Install oil pressure switch with sealant.
Use proper liquid sealant.

Oil Pump Removal and Installation

Remove drive belts.

Remove timing belt covers and timing belt.

Remove front stabilizer bar.

Loosen front engine mounting nuts. (Do not loosen nuts completely.)

Lift up engine slightly using engine slings.

Remove oil pan.

Remove oil pump assembly with oil strainer.

Installation is in reverse order of removal.
